The Vermont Lake Monsters got a strong performance from pitcher Bryan Boyd, who stymied the Port Royal offense en route to a 6-1 win at Monster Field. The Lake Monsters bumped their record to 24-22 with this latest triumph.

The Disaster had trouble solving Boyd, who surrendered 1 earned run on 3 hits over 9 innings.
