Supernovas Sneak Past Disaster, 6-5
|
The Scranton Supernovas eked out a 6-5 win versus the Port Royal Disaster at Nuclear Stadium. Nobody did more than catcher Kevin Malone, who captured player of the game honors. Scranton reliever Apollo Cepeda was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Will Moore took the loss for Port Royal. Scranton is now 17-21, Port Royal 20-18.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Scranton designated hitter Felipe Bruno, facing Will Moore, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Supernovas the 6-5 win.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Bruno said.
