Ramírez Zeroes In On Calgary
|
Gilberto Ramírez kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Alloway Halberds were all smiles after winning 1-0 against the Calgary Lynx at Lynx Stadium today. The left-handed Ramírez gave up no runs in his start, permitted 4 hits and had 6 strikeouts.
"If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Ramírez said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."
To this point in the season, Ramírez shows a 2-6 record, 10 starts, 55.1 innings, 41 strikeouts and a 5.69 ERA.
