The Scranton Supernovas stopped the Pure Michigan Great Lakers, 6-1, at Nuclear Stadium. The Supernovas got a big game from Martín Álvarez, who went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Victor Brey got the win, improving to 3-1. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 4. The Supernovas improved to 16-16.
Felipe Bruno, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA with a .842 OPS, helped out the Scranton cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter went 3 for 4 with 3 singles.
"I thought we played a nice game," Álvarez told the Scranton Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
