Ballpark of Port Royal was the site of a competitive game between the Vermont Lake Monsters and Port Royal Disaster.
Starting pitcher Félix Jiménez pitched well enough to help the Port Royal Disaster beat the Vermont Lake Monsters by the score of 5-4. Port Royal, at 15-12, sits in third place in the Silver AAA.
Nelson Abbey was the walk-off hero for Port Royal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Disaster shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Jiménez after the game.
