Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Halberds
The Alloway Halberds did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Athletic Club KC Reserves at Ballpark of Alloway. Nobody did more than pitcher Joel Farrell, who captured player of the game honors. Kenete Daku picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Kas Groen was tagged with the loss. Even with the win, the Halberds have a dismal 4-19 record.

Carlos De Jesús was the walk-off hero for Alloway. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Halberds right fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

De Jesús said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
