The Vermont Lake Monsters defeated the Alloway Halberds, 6-0, in USSL Triple A action at Monster Field, with Vermont pitcher Bill Lee named player of the game. The Halberds, at 2-18, have stumbled out of the gate.

The Halberds had little chance against Lee, who overpowered Alloway hitters and struck out 10.

"We'll savor this win," Lee told the Vermont Citizen, "then get ready for the next game."
