Drummers Get Close Win Over Lake Monsters
Despite a fine performance by second baseman Augusto Encarnación, the Vermont Lake Monsters suffered a 10-4 loss to the Tortolita Drummers. Encarnación went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With their winning streak at 4, the Drummers have raced to a strong start this season.

Steve Costillo, who was drafted in the three round of the 2025 draft, helped out the Tortolita cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.
