Disaster Need Extra Frames to Get Past Halberds
Alloway got a terrific performance from pitcher Bob Browning, but it wasn't enough to beat the Port Royal Disaster. Port Royal won the Ballpark of Alloway contest, 5-4. Browning was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He came in in relief and pitched to 17 batters . The winner was Port Royal reliever Miguel Hernández, now 3-0. The loser was Kenete Daku. Cipriano Costa earned his 1st save in 2 tries.

The most important at-bat for Port Royal came in the top of the 12th inning, when designated hitter Ricky Payton stroked a 1-1 cutter to left for a run-scoring single, putting Port Royal up, 5-4.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Port Royal manager Bobby Robinson.

The win pushes Port Royal to a record of 6-5.
