Humpbacks Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
The Alaskan Humpbacks topped the Alloway Halberds, 10-6, with youngster Jesús Torres playing a key role. Torres went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Humpbacks in the win. The winner was Makoto Kato in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Gilberto Ramírez took the loss. The loss drops Alloway to 2-5.

Torres came through with some timely hitting for Alaskan. With the score 0-0 in the bottom of the second and two down, Torres hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season made it 2-0, Alaskan.
