Supernovas Come Up Short at Port Royal
|
It was a fun time at Ballpark of Port Royal, where the Scranton Supernovas and Port Royal Disaster tangled.
Port Royal pitcher Nam Yee Yong did his part in helping his team beat the Scranton Supernovas, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Miguel Hernández picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Luis Ortíz was tagged with the loss. Will Moore earned the save for Port Royal, his 2nd of the year.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when second baseman Rubén López reached on an error by the P. The Disaster went on to win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said López.
Port Royal is now 3-3.
