Tritons Get One-Run Win at Bakersfield
The Bakersfield Nobles inaugurated their 2029 season with a tough 7-6 loss to the Jersey City Tritons at Jerome Grounds. Starting Pitcher Guldemunde Geilinger was named player of the game for Jersey City. Geilinger went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0. Anthony Ledesma nailed down his 1st save.

Ty Tomblin was 2 for 5 with a double. He scored 2 times for Jersey City. The top prospect had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Piotr Oja. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Geilinger told the Jersey City Citizen.
