The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks and Minnesota Loons played a tight game at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks starter Louis McDowell turned in a top-notch performance against the Minnesota Loons at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The result was a win for the Thunder Hawks, 3-1. César Vásquez earned his 7th save in 13 chances.
Chan-Wook Park aided the Ft. Polk South cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher went 2-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"It was a solid team effort," said McDowell after the game.
Ft. Polk South, at 49-49, occupies 6th place in the Silver AA.
