Fur Traders Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Tacoma played host to Ft. Polk South at the friendly confines of Ballpark of Tacoma.
The Tacoma Fur Traders did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks at Ballpark of Tacoma. Nobody did more than pitcher Dorian Roberts, who captured player of the game honors. The winner was Tacoma reliever Daniel Ryan, now 1-0. The loser was Louis McDowell.
Had Chad Silander not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Silander hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Fur Traders.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Silander told the Tacoma Bulletin.
The Thunder Hawks, at 47-49, have lost 5 straight games.
