Gant hits 2 home runs as Fur Traders Drub Thunder Hawks
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks and Tacoma Fur Traders brought some excitement to Ballpark of Tacoma.

The Tacoma Fur Traders easily defeated the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 14-1, at Ballpark of Tacoma, with shortstop Dave Gant a main contributor to the win. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 5 for Tacoma. Mal Adams picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 2-8.

Gant had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Fur Traders went on to win.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Tacoma manager David Márquez.

The Thunder Hawks, at 47-48, have lost 4 straight games.
