Blue Sox Jolt Loons with Late Rally

The Blue Sox had to overcome a good performance from Minnesota pitcher Andrew Moody to claim a 5-3 win at Loony Bin. Moody went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Irving reliever Martin Besnier picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Dominic Parker took the loss. Rich McLean was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 16 save opportunities.
It could have been a different outcome for Irving, had it not been for Cisco Hernández, the 24-year old center fielder . Hernández contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the eighth inning to put Irving up, 4-3.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hernández said.
Irving is now 41-51, Minnesota 52-40.
