Farmers Topple Rapiers with Late Rally
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Woodrow Terrebonne, the Lancaster Farmers defeated the Durham Rapiers, 9-5. Terrebonne was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Farmers. Lancaster occupies 4th place in the Silver AA at 41-36.
Mark Armstead had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Farmers. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Lancaster trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Lancaster manager Omer van Osch.
