Thrilling Victory Pushes Sonics Win Streak to 5
|
Atlantic City Sonics starter Lincoln Spooner turned in a top-notch performance against the Durham Rapiers at Sonics Ballpark. The result was a win for the Sonics, 5-2. In 8 innings, Spooner surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The Sonics have an impressive 41-25 record.
The Sonics got a big at-bat from catcher José Rodríguez. For the game, Rodríguez was 1-2 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 53rd hit of the season gave Atlantic City a 4-2 lead.
