Thunder Hawks Sneak Past Rapiers, 6-5
|
Durham third baseman Júlio Gonzáles had a good game, even if his team did not. The Rapiers dropped a 6-5 decision to Ft. Polk South at Rapiers Ballpark. Gonzáles went 1-1 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Gil Reeves got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 2.2 innings. Durham's current losing streak is now 5 games.
Ft. Polk South took the lead in the top of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Chan-Wook Park stroked a run-scoring single to make it 6-5, Thunder Hawks.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Park said after the game.
