Victory Pushes Hot N Readys Record to 18-10
|
It was a fun time at The Pizza Oven, where the Irving Blue Sox and Little Caesars Hot N Readys tangled.
The Little Caesars Hot N Readys went home winners at The Pizza Oven, thanks in large part to starter Leif Mayer. Mayer silenced the Irving Blue Sox, enabling Little Caesars to grab the 5-1 win. In 7.2 innings, Mayer surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run.
Amos Bies, who was drafted in the three round of the 2025 draft, aided the Little Caesars cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Bies told the Little Caesars Observer.
The Hot N Readys bumped their record to 18-10 with this latest triumph.
