Flyers Sneak Past Fog, 7-6

Fans who came to Pennsauken Park watched the Pennsauken Flyers and the Sunset District Fog fight to the finish.
Pennsauken center fielder Marc Beck was instrumental in his team's 7-6 win over the Sunset District Fog. Beck, who is tied for 8th in the 3AAA in stolen bases with 26, went 2-3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Flyers. Pennsauken reliever Jeren Kendall picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Cisco Flores was saddled with the loss.
Pedro Ortega went 1-4 with a walk for Pennsauken. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Cisco Flores. It was his 30th walk of the season.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Ortega.
The Flyers improved to 41-59.
