The Brinkley Belugas powered past the Sunset District Fog, 8-2, at Fog Park. Parker Smith was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Alejandro Araya earned the win to go to 5-7. He allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Peter Hall picked up the save, his 2nd.
Smith had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the second, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Belugas went on to win.
"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Rudy Hankins.
