Victory Pushes Timber Hawks Record to 49-45
|
Roberto De La Cruz pitched well, but the Sioux Falls Red Pandas still lost the game, falling 2-1 to the Augusta Timber Hawks at Timber Hawks Ballpark. The Timber Hawks saw their win-loss record go to 49-45. At the same time, the Red Pandas fell to 48-46.
Augusta took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, designated hitter José Marín hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Marín told reporters after the game.
