The Brinkley Belugas went home winners at Belugas Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Dahab Kanda. Kanda silenced the Hamilton Coyotes, enabling Brinkley to grab the 4-0 win. The winning pitcher was Kanda, now 4-0. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 7. Brinkley, at 36-40, sits in 8th place in the Menard's AAA.
Orlando Velásquez chipped in for Brinkley, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
