Red Pandas Come Up Short at Brinkley
|
Starting pitcher Chae-seong Kim pitched well enough to help the Brinkley Belugas beat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas by the score of 5-4. Kim, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. António Rúbio closed the game out for Brinkley, earning his 8th save.
Reggie Kahn helped out the Brinkley cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-2 with a walk.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Sioux Falls manager Barry Embling. "The effort was great."
Brinkley is now 30-37. Sioux Falls is 35-32.
