Men Turn Back Pennsauken, 4-2
|
The Florida Men got a good effort from starter Arturo Guerrero in defeating the Pennsauken Flyers at Psychos Ballpark. The final score was 4-2. Guerrero went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 5, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-5. Tyler Lund closed it out for his 15th save.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the third inning. That's when designated hitter Spencer Landes, who was drafted in the two round of the 2021 draft, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Men went on to win.
"Arturo is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Florida manager Sandy Hampton.
Pennsauken's current losing streak is now 6 games.
