Coyotes Shut Out Belugas
|
Pitcher Dave Wheeler was sensational for the Hamilton Coyotes in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Brinkley Belugas. Wheeler received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The Coyotes improved to 23-32.
The Coyotes got a big at-bat from first baseman Bob Sargent. For the game, Sargent was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Hamilton a 1-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sargent told the Hamilton Chronicle.
