Longnecks Win Again, Extend Streak to 10
|
It was a good time at Lookouts Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Sunset District Fog and Bloomington Longnecks get after it.
Bloomington Longnecks starter César Albó was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Sunset District Fog, 7-2. Getting the save was Juan Ángel, his 1st.
The Longnecks got a big at-bat from shortstop Gabriel Díaz. For the game, Díaz was 2-5 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 18th hit of the season gave Bloomington a 2-0 lead.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Albó said.
The winning continues for Bloomington, with the latest making it 10 straight.
