Sioux Falls pitcher Manuel Rojas did his part in helping his team beat the Tremont Doubledays, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win gives the Red Pandas a record of 12-8.
Carlos Medellín had a big run-scoring single for the Red Pandas in the bottom of the second inning. With Sioux Falls leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a changeup from Mathieu Neri and stroked the single to center. It was his 14th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Pandas ahead, 3-0.
"We put together a nice win," Medellín said.
