Salgado Rips Pennsauken for 5 Hits
|
Dodos first baseman Jorge Salgado had his way with Pennsauken pitching today at Dodos Ballpark and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Flyers ruined his great day by toppling the Dodos, 6-4.
"I had a great day, but you've got to give Pennsauken credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."
"Oh, we noticed what Salgado did today," Flyers skipper Juan Rodríguez said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."
Jorge Salgado walked in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
Salgado is hitting .362 this year with 1 home run and 10 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .441, 12 walks and scored 9 times.
