Flyers Bang Out 7-5 Win Versus Ellenburg
|
The Pennsauken Flyers bested the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 7-5, at Pennsauken Park. Roy McFerran was named player of the game. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win takes Pennsauken to 8-10.
With Pennsauken trailing 5-1 in the bottom of the fourth, McFerran came up to bat against Ellenburg pitcher José Macías. McFerran hit a cutter to left for a 2-run single. His 8th hit of the season put the Flyers on top, 5-3.
McFerran told a Pennsauken Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
