Knight Rips Hamilton for 5 Hits
|
Meka Knight put on a hitting clinic today as the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds dumped the Hamilton Coyotes 15-2 at Coyote Wildlife Refuge.
The Ellenburg catcher made Hamilton defenders earn their pay, lashing Hamilton pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Knight said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Meka Knight singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
