Koch Shines in Fighting Dachsunds Win
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds bested the Hialeah Dodos, 8-3, at Dodos Ballpark. Steve Koch was named player of the game. He was 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Fighting Dachsunds, now 6-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Had Eugene Clutch not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Clutch hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Fighting Dachsunds.
