Red Pandas Come Up Short at Ellenburg
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 2-1, in M3L Triple A action at Dog Park in Ellenburg, with Ellenburg pitcher Benjamin Busto named player of the game. Busto went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 9, and struck out 1. His record improves to 1-0. The Fighting Dachsunds, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.
The Fighting Dachsunds got a big at-bat from center fielder Tural Bishara. For the game, Bishara was 1-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Ellenburg a 1-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bishara told the Ellenburg Herald.
