Durham Wins Top Spot in Silver AA Tuesday, September 19th, 2028 The Durham Rapiers celebrated their Silver AA championship tonight, but relief was more readily visible than jubilation for the players. "The whole season is such a long battle, so to take the division in the final day is really remarkable," said starting pitcher Lance de Valk. "It honestly just feels like a huge weight is off all our shoulders. Now we can relax and focus on the playoffs." But of course, the playoffs won't be without a fair bit of stress and anxiety too. But team manager Brody Roberts said he believes his team is good under pressure and will rise to the occasion. "These guys are battle tested," he said. This was the 1st Silver AA title in team history. |
