Miners Pereira Blanks Thunder Hawks Saturday, September 16th, 2028 Felipe Pereira of the Marquette Miners was on fire against Ft. Polk South. He shut them down 6-0 on 5 hits and no runs with 8 strikeouts and no walks. "The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Pereira said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
