Doubledays Leon Siebert Down and Out for Year
Tuesday, August 8th, 2028
The doctors have spoken and Leon Siebert of the Tremont Doubledays didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Siebert sustained his season-ending injury during the Brinkley Belugas game yesterday at Belugas Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Tremont medical staff reported Siebert had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12-13 months.
This season Siebert has worked 73.2 innings with 46 strikeouts en route to a 1-3 record and a 6.23 ERA.
