Fighting Dachsunds Chill Aguirre's Hot Streak Monday, September 18th, 2028 Raśl Aguirre, left fielder for the Hialeah Dodos, gave it a good try, but his day in history finally came to an end, when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds. Not only had they stopped his 29-game hitting streak, they had beaten Hialeah 1-0, too. Speaking with the media after the game, Aguirre said, "Now that the streak has ended, I admit I will breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat. It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." In 82 games this year Aguirre has posted a .341 average and put up these numbers: 7 home runs, 60 RBIs and 48 runs scored. |
