Mendoza Takes Best Bat Award in July Tuesday, August 1st, 2028 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 23, António Mendoza has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC star can enjoy the numbers he put upin July, which have garnered him the nod as the Silver League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .370 average with 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 28 runs scored. Mendoza is presently hitting at a .318 pace with 9 home runs and 31 RBIs. He has played in 70 games and scored 70 times. |
