Rocky Mountain's Covas Will Miss Season Wednesday, August 23rd, 2028 The season is ending on a bad note for Roberto Covas, starting pitcher for the Rocky Mountain Nuggets. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Covas was hurt against the Ft. Worth Cattlemen while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for at least 13-14 months. To date this season Covas sports a 0-0 mark with a 5.94 ERA in 0 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .313 batting average and has 26 strikeouts in 16.2 innings. |
