PA Presents Top Pitcher Trophy Friday, September 22nd, 2028 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Malulani Anakone performed like a veteran on the hill for the South Beach Blaze and walked away with the USPL Single A Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process. The 21-year-old Blaze star fashioned a 11-5 won-loss record in 2028 with a 1.16 ERA. In 139.1 innings of work and 19 starts, Anakone struck out 167 while giving up 93 hits and 32 walks. He held opposing batters to a .185 average. Manuel Sánchez of the Columbia River Rats finished second in voting, while Jimmy O'Flahavan of the Nebraska Plainsmen finished third. |
