Hit Parade: Dudding Gets Cycle
Thursday, August 17th, 2028
Corey Dudding really put the hurt on the Washington Generals today, leading the Expos to a 6-1 win. In doing so, Dudding hit for the cycle, tagging the Generals for 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Dudding also had 1 run batted in and 4 runs scored in the game at Washington Park.
A player hitting a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game is one of the more unusual feats in professional baseball and typically happens only a couple times per season.
"Well, I didn't expect that to happen," the Niagara Falls catcher said after the game. "I got some great pitches and I pretty much hit their mistakes."
Corey Dudding tripled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Randy Gabaldon in the 9th.
This year Dudding has 5 home runs and a .234 batting average.
