However, it proved to be more severe that first thought. The 21-year-old starting pitcher suffered a damaged elbow ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Romero would miss 14 months of the season. Romero has posted a 1-4 record for the year with a 4.25 ERA. Teams are hitting .308 against him and he has rung up 24 strikeouts in 53 innings. |
