Ueda Tags Athletic Club KC for 5 Hits Sunday, August 20th, 2028 Shojiro Ueda exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Athletics Park. The Phoenix first baseman had a field day in the 6-5 triumph over the Athletic Club KC, finishing 5-for-7. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Ueda must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Shojiro Ueda singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th, grounded out in the 13th and singled in the 16th.
