Jarca Delivers Walk-Off Win for Grey Wolves
|
Oakland pitcher Burm Snart gave the Grey Wolves all they could handle, but in the end, Vancouver left Wolf Den in Vancouver with a 4-3 win. Snart allowed 3 earned runs on 3 hits over 6.1 innings. Vancouver is 8th in the Silver League with a record of 37-46.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, José Jarca had a chance to end it. Oakland pitcher Finn Wuilink had other ideas. But with two outs, Jarca got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Grey Wolves had the walk-off win.
Oakland manager DAshley GoAs said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
