Gold Sox Beat Middies, 6-2

The Grafton Middies and Chicago Gold Sox provided some drama at Field of the Middies.
Chicago starter Keisuke Nishida pitched effectively against the Grafton Middies at Field of the Middies. The left-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. Chicago, now 46-32, holds third place in the Silver League.
Mexico City, Mexico-born Lupo Cotto came through in the clutch. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st and the Gold Sox trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run to left to put Chicago on top.
"I liked his command," said Chicago manager Brett Reichert. "Keisuke was throwing strikes."
