Middies Fall Short, 7-3, at Thunder Bay
|
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Grafton Middies, 7-3, at Great Northern Field. Thunder Bay first baseman Carlos Rodríguez was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Today's win puts Thunder Bay at 27-34, while Grafton falls to 25-36.
Keith Fish was a key contributor to the win for the Northern Lions BC. In the bottom of the third with no one out, the light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to left. He went 1-4.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Fish told a Thunder Bay Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
