Northern Lions BC Topple Gold Sox with Late Rally
The Chicago Gold Sox were defeated, 8-6, by the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. Leading the charge for Thunder Bay was third baseman Terumoto Kurihara. He was 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Mauro Guerra earned the save, his 3rd. Thunder Bay currently is in 6th place in the Silver League at 26-34.

The game turned with two out in the top of the eighth when Kurihara hit a 2-run double. It propelled the Northern Lions BC into the lead, 7-5.

In postgame remarks, Kurihara said: "We put it together today and came out with the win -- that's the main thing."
