Middies Topple Grey Wolves as Ramos Shines
Mario Ramos added some punch to the Grafton offense, helping them outmuscle the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 8-7. In the game, Ramos, who is tied for 7th in the SL in home runs with 12, went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Grafton reliever Craig Whitney picked up the win to move to 1-7. Francisco Valdés suffered the loss. Domingo Álvarez, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.

The Middies got a big at-bat from Scotty Anderson. For the game, Anderson went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. In the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 54th hit of the season gave Grafton a 8-7 lead.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Grafton Middies manager Bill Cefaratti. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

Grafton is 8th in the Silver League with a record of 25-35.
