Middies Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
In a tight battle between the Grafton Middies and the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, pitcher Lorenzo Sánchez was in the zone. The Grafton left-hander was named the player of the game in Grafton's 2-1 win. Grafton reliever Domingo Álvarez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Asher Spivey was saddled with the loss. Grafton has now won 3 in a row.

Late in the game, designated hitter Orlando Reyes had a big at-bat for Grafton. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring double off Jason Horne. The play gave the Middies a 2-1 lead.
